At American Medical Staffing, we work together with you to explain each step of the process and outline what documents you need to be successful in your search.
Below, you’ll learn about the most common experience and materials we search for. We’re happy to walk through these in more detail with you and provide no-obligation support if you just want a little advice.
Step 1: Getting Your Interview Documents in Order
How you present yourself on (digital) paper can make all the difference. That’s why we work with you to beef up your interview documents. These are the most typically requested materials necessary for a contract assignment and include:
- Current resume
- Completed and signed application
- Professional references
- Skills checklist if applicable
If you haven’t updated these in a while, no worries! We can get you started with a free resume review from our recruiters who have seen thousands of them.
Step 2: Putting Your Pre-Assignment Paperwork Together
Depending on the type of work you’ll be doing, there can be a range of documentation needed before you start on Day 1. We’ll connect with you to discuss the specific materials needed for you assignment, which can include (but may not be limited to):
- I-9 supporting
documents - Current CPR for the
healthcare
professional
issued by the American
Heart Association - Current ACLS, PALS,
NRP, etc., as required - Current TB screening
(PPD, Chest X-Ray with
accompanying
symptom survey, etc.) - Online competency and
safety testing - Online employment
documents to complete - Annual physical
- Annual fit test
- Drug screening
If you’re missing a required document, license or test, we can help you navigate that process or get you connected with a lab in your area.
Step 3: Ready for Launch
The fun part has arrived! You’re all squared away and prepared to begin a new adventure in a new role. But before you pack your bags, make sure you have everything buttoned up.
