Lauren began her journey with AMS in 2021 as a Recruiting Coordinator in the Hospital Division, where she quickly showed her dedication to exceptional customer service and helping clinicians find their perfect roles. In 2022, she transitioned into her current position and continues to build strong relationships with clinicians, helping them achieve their career goals in correctional healthcare. Get to Know Lauren: Name: Lauren Pierce Title: Recruiting Manager Division: Corrections Staffing Lauren in Her Own Words: “My name is Lauren, and I am a Recruiting Manager at American Medical Staffing. I joined AMS in 2021 as a Recruiting Coordinator in the Hospital Division and transitioned to the Corrections Division in 2022. I’m passionate about helping others, building strong relationships with clinicians, and providing excellent customer service. Watching my clinicians grow and succeed in their careers is incredibly rewarding.” Fun Facts About Lauren: Family Life: Lauren is a proud mom of three—two sons (ages 19 and 15) and a 9-year-old daughter. She lives in Baltimore, MD with her fiancé, a Baltimore City Firefighter, and their two dogs, Smokey and Gunner. Hobbies and Interests: Outside of work, Lauren stays busy managing her kids’ extracurricular activities and spending quality time with family and friends. When she gets some downtime, she enjoys evening walks, roller skating with her daughter, and hiking at a local park. During the summer, you can find her relaxing by the pool and enjoying the sunshine. Favorite Relaxation: There’s nothing Lauren loves more than unwinding with a glass of wine by the fire pit after a busy day. Why Lauren Loves Correctional Healthcare: Correctional healthcare is a challenging yet rewarding field. Lauren loves the impact it can have on helping individuals transition back into the community. “In this setting, I’ve learned how many inmates are overlooked and don’t receive the healthcare they need,” she says. Whether it’s clearing someone for a new assignment or keeping their information current, I take pride in providing consistent and reliable assistance to those who need it.” Fun Facts About Samantha: Homesteading Life: Samantha lives on a homestead in Virginia with her fiancé and their three daughters (ages 9, 7, and almost 1). They enjoy raising animals and growing their own food—currently caring for 24 chickens, with plans to add goats in the near future! Hobbies and Interests: In her free time, Samantha enjoys crafting and sewing outfits for her children. Summer is her favorite season, when she can bake, garden, and enjoy time outdoors with her family. They share their homestead with two dogs (Maui, a German Shepherd, and Butters, a Staffordshire Terrier), as well as a cat named Smokey who adopted the family two years ago. Crafting Enthusiast: Samantha’s love for crafting extends beyond the homestead—she’s known to get creative with her sewing machine and make fun, custom pieces for her kids.
