Job Title: RN Supervisor: Corrections
Location: Chesapeake, Virginia
Setting: State Prison
Pay Range: $2000 weekly
Schedule: Days, 40-hours per week (Monday-Friday), Every other weekend, Holidays as needed
Contract Length: 13 to 26-weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a RN
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1-3 years of experience in the correctional setting and supervisory experience
• Valid Registered Nurse license
• Be willing to obtain Virginia licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Corrections facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

• Supervise and support nursing staff while performing clinical duties within the full scope of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a correctional healthcare environment.

• Oversee daily nursing operations, including medication administration, triage protocols, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to policies by conducting audits, mentoring staff, and promoting best practices in electronic medical records (EMR) use.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment—providing care that truly matters.
