Job Title: RN: Corrections
Location: Independence, Virginia
Setting: State Prison
Pay Range: $2400 weekly
Schedule: Days, 36-hours per week, Every other weekend, Holidays as needed
Contract Length: 13 to 26-weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as a RN
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1-3 years of experience in the correctional setting
• Valid Registered Nurse license
• Be willing to obtain Virginia licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Corrections facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver acute and chronic care services within the scope of a Registered Nurse (RN) in a correctional setting.

• Manage medication administration, triage, and emergency response procedures in alignment with correctional healthcare standards.

• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and follow-up in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment—providing care that truly matters.
