Job Title: Physical Therapist: Corrections
Location: Independence, Virginia & Oakwood, Virginia
Setting: Corrections
Pay Range: $3000 weekly
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Up to 40-hours per week
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience as a PT
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1years of experience in the correctional setting
• Valid Physical Therapist license
• Be willing to obtain VA and/or compact licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Corrections facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

• Provide comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans as a Physical Therapist (PT) to address mobility limitations, functional deficits, and rehabilitative needs

• Implement therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and mobility restoration to improve patient outcomes

• Monitor patient progress through functional assessments, documentation, and care plan modifications to ensure effective and compliant treatment delivery

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a secure, structured environment—providing care that truly matters.
