Job Title: LVN/LPN: Psych
Location: Carlsbad, Texas
Setting: Psych / State Supported Living Center
Pay Range: $1400-$1650
Schedule: Shifts-7a-7p w/1 4hr shift 7a-11a or 3p-7p, 4p-12a; Rotating Schedule, 40-hours per week, No OTContract Length: 26 weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Requirements:

• 1 years of experience as a LPN
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience as an LPN/LVN
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license
• Be willing to obtain Texas and/or compact licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in a Psychiatric facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

• Provides psychiatric nursing care within scope of practice as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), including monitoring patient behavior, mood, and mental status and reporting changes to the treatment team.

• Administers medications and documents patient responses while supporting mental health treatment, therapeutic interventions, and adherence to individualized care plans.

• Maintains a safe and structured behavioral health environment by observing patients for safety risks, supporting de-escalation efforts, and assisting with crisis intervention as needed.
