Job Title: LPN: Psych
Location: Augusta, GA
Setting: Psych
Pay Range: $1146-1430 weekly
Schedule: 3pm - 11:30pm, 8-Hour Evenings, every other weekend, holidays as needed
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
Candidate Type: Local and traveler friendly

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience as an LPN
• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience in Psych
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license
• Be willing to obtain GA or compact licensure

Responsibilities

As a healthcare professional in an Adult Mental Health facility, you’ll play a critical role in serving a unique and often underserved patient population. Your care will directly impact patient safety, wellness, and rehabilitation. A few of the responsibilities include:

• Provides basic care and treatments, such as dressing wounds, treating bedsores, giving enemas, douches, alcohol rubs, and massages, or performing catheterizations.
• Answers individuals’ calls and determines how to assist them.
• Observes individuals, charting and reporting changes in individuals’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
• Measures and records individuals’ vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
• Administers prescribed medications or starts intravenous fluids, and notes times and amounts on individuals’ charts.
